Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Entebbe -- Fly or Drive to Bwindi
Arrive at Entebbe and fly by charter or drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive at your lodge for a welcome dinner with forest views.
Day 2Acclimatise -- Forest Walk
A free day in Bwindi's forest atmosphere. Guided walk along the forest edge with a naturalist guide. Optional spa treatment or Batwa cultural visit.
Day 3Mountain Gorilla Trekking
After a park gate briefing, enter the ancient forest in search of mountain gorillas. Spend one hour with a habituated gorilla family. Return for a celebration lunch. Afternoon at leisure with forest views.
Day 4Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive north from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector (approx. 2-3 hrs). En route game drive for the famous tree-climbing lions.
Day 5Private Kazinga Channel Cruise
A private launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel at sunrise, watching hippos, crocodiles, and elephants at the water's edge as the light shifts across Lake Edward. Afternoon private game drive.
Day 6Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive east to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 3-4 hrs), Uganda's most accessible park with a beautiful lakeside setting. Lake Mburo is known for zebra, eland, impala, and hippos.
Day 7Lake Mburo -- Game Drives & Horseback Safari
Morning game drive through the acacia woodland. Optional horseback safari, a unique way to move quietly among plains game. Afternoon boat cruise on the lake with a private sundowner on the water.
Day 8Lake Mburo -- Full Day at Leisure
A final full day at Lake Mburo at your own pace. Optional walking safari, bird walk, or morning on Mihingo's terrace watching wildlife come to the waterhole below.
Day 9Lake Mburo -- Entebbe -- Departure
Short drive to Entebbe International Airport (approx. 3 hrs) for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.
