7 Days of Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Zanzibar Beach Experience

Meet your driver at Kilimanjaro International Airport or your Arusha hotel. Drive west through coffee highlands to the Ngorongoro crater rim. Arrive in the afternoon for lunch with panoramic views over the caldera. Afternoon at leisure on the rim: cool, forested and spectacularly scenic.

Descend 600 m into the world's most famous wildlife arena for a full day game drive. Expect black rhino, elephant, lion, hippo, wildebeest and flamingo in astonishing concentrations. Picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Ascend to the rim in late afternoon.

Morning drive through the NCA highlands, with a stop at Olduvai Gorge. Enter the Serengeti and head to the Seronera valley for afternoon game drives. The Seronera is the park's permanent wildlife heartland: lions are seen here virtually every game drive.

Early morning game drive in the Serengeti at first light: the best time for predator activity. Return to camp for breakfast, then drive or fly to Arusha airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar (Abeid Amani Karume International Airport). Arrive in Zanzibar, transfer to your beach resort on the north coast.

Morning guided tour of Stone Town: the UNESCO-listed old city with its Arab, Indian and Swahili architecture, bustling Darajani market, House of Wonders and the old slave market. Afternoon spice farm tour: taste vanilla, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Return to the beach resort for a beachside dinner.

Your day, your pace. Optional dolphin excursion at Kizimkazi, snorkelling over Mnemba Atoll's coral gardens, deep-sea fishing, a sunset dhow cruise, or simply relaxing on Nungwi's white sand. The Indian Ocean is warm year-round.

Leisurely morning on the beach before checkout and transfer to Zanzibar airport for your onward flight. A perfect ending to a perfect Tanzanian week.
