Overview
The 7-Day Kenya & Tanzania Safari is a 7-day safari through Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and 1 more protected areas, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Saringi Tours is a women-led safari company based in Nairobi, and every itinerary is private and bespoke. Dates, group size, accommodation tier, and optional activities such as a hot air balloon, guided bush walks, or cultural visits can all be adjusted to fit your preferences and budget. Our team is available before, during, and after your trip to make sure everything runs as it should.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi – Maasai Mara (approx. 5 hrs)
Our driver meets you at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA. Drive south through the Rift Valley to arrive at the Maasai Mara by lunchtime. Check in, have lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive from 3 to 6 p.m. The Mara's open savannah is spectacular in the evening light.
Day 2Maasai Mara – Full Day
A full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara Reserve. Encounter the Big Five, cheetah, wild dog and over 570 bird species. Picnic lunch by the banks of the Mara River. Between July and October, the river crossings offer some of the most dramatic wildlife viewing on Earth. Optional: hot air balloon at dawn or a visit to a Maasai village.
Day 3Maasai Mara – Serengeti (border crossing or charter flight)
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti via the Isebania/Sirari border crossing: a full day's drive of approximately 7–8 hours (packed lunch provided). Alternatively, take a charter flight from Keekorok or Mara North airstrip to arrive in the Serengeti by early afternoon (approx. $658/person extra). On arrival, enjoy an introductory game drive as you head to your tented camp for dinner.
Day 4Serengeti – Full Day
A full day in Africa's most iconic national park. The Serengeti's vast grasslands support the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth: the annual migration of 1.5 million wildebeest. Full-day game drives with picnic lunch. Optional hot air balloon sunrise safari.
Day 5Serengeti – Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge: one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world and the cradle of human evolution. Visit the site museum before continuing to the Ngorongoro crater rim. Enjoy an introductory game drive along the rim road on arrival.
Day 6Ngorongoro Crater – Transfer to Tarangire (approx. 3 hrs)
Descend into the crater after breakfast with packed picnic lunches for a morning crater tour. Drive the crater floor in search of lion, black rhino, elephant, hippo and flamingo. After the crater, ascend and drive east to Tarangire National Park for a final evening game drive among the ancient baobabs.
Day 7Tarangire – Arusha – Departure
Morning game drives among elephant herds in Tarangire, then drive to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport. End of services.
