Overview
The 10-Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach is a 10-day safari through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire & Zanzibar, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Zanzibar and 1 more protected areas, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Bush and beach is one of East Africa's most satisfying combinations, and this 10-day itinerary gets the balance right: proper wildlife days in prime game country, then a coastal or island stay to wind down. Transfers, accommodation, and logistics are all managed by the Saringi team in Nairobi. Dates, lodge category, and duration can be adjusted to suit your schedule.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arusha – Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hrs)
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our driver meets you and drives southwest to Tarangire. Arrive with a game drive en route to the lodge. Check in and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through ancient baobab groves and along the Tarangire River.
Day 2Tarangire – Full Day
A full day in Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch in the bush. This lesser-visited park rewards those who come: the density of wildlife along the river is extraordinary, and the ancient baobab trees create unforgettable photographic opportunities.
Day 3Tarangire – Central Serengeti (approx. 5–6 hrs via NCA/Ndutu)
Drive northwest toward the Serengeti through the NCA conservation area. Arrive in the Seronera region of the central Serengeti by late afternoon. Evening game drive as you head to your tented camp.
Day 4Serengeti – Full Day
A full day of game drives in the Serengeti. Home to the Big Five and an extraordinary density of predators: lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Picnic lunch in the field. Optional hot air balloon sunrise flight.
Day 5Serengeti – Full Day
A second full day in the Serengeti. Explore the western corridor or north Serengeti depending on season and wildlife movement. The western corridor Grumeti River is famous for its enormous Nile crocodiles and dramatic wildebeest river crossings.
Day 6Serengeti – Ngorongoro Rim (approx. 3–4 hrs)
Morning drive then depart through the NCA highlands. Arrive at the Ngorongoro crater rim by mid-afternoon. Short introductory drive along the rim road before dinner with views into the caldera.
Day 7Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day
Descend into the crater with picnic lunches for a full day game drive. Black rhino, lion, elephant and flamingos are all resident. Spend the morning and afternoon exploring the caldera floor before ascending to the rim for sunset.
Day 8Ngorongoro – Arusha – Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, drive to Arusha and transfer to Arusha Airport (ARK) for your scheduled afternoon flight to Zanzibar (ZNZ). Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume Airport. Transfer to your beach hotel on the east or north coast. Check in and spend the evening on the Indian Ocean shore.
Day 9Zanzibar – Beach Day
A free day on Zanzibar. Swim and snorkel in the warm Indian Ocean, explore the hotel's facilities, or arrange optional excursions: Stone Town UNESCO heritage tour, Safari Blue dhow cruise, Prison Island turtle sanctuary, dolphin excursion at Kizimkazi, or spice farm tour.
Day 10Zanzibar – Departure
Leisurely breakfast then check out and transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of services.
