The Skeleton Coast & Kaokoland Fly-In Safari is a 6-day safari through Skeleton Coast, Kaokoland & Damaraland, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. Every game drive, lodge, and activity has been chosen for what it adds to the experience as a whole.
Southern Africa covers a lot of ground, and the sequence matters. Saringi has been putting these itineraries together since 2018, and this one is built to balance game-rich safari days with the scenery and culture that make the region worth the journey. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Windhoek to Damaraland
Charter flight from Windhoek into Damaraland. Afternoon desert-elephant tracking excursion across the Palmwag Concession.
Day 2Damaraland -- Desert Wildlife Tracking
Full day on foot and by vehicle tracking black rhino and desert-adapted elephant across the concession. Desert Rhino Camp's dedicated Save the Rhino Trust trackers offer the best chance anywhere of encountering wild desert black rhino at close range.
Day 3Fly to the Skeleton Coast
Fly north along the Namibian coastline, spotting shipwrecks and Cape fur seal colonies from the air. Land at the Skeleton Coast for an afternoon dune drive at the meeting point of the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 4Skeleton Coast Exploration
Full day exploring the fog-desert ecology of the Skeleton Coast. Strong likelihood of desert lion and brown hyena encounters in one of Africa's most extreme and remote ecosystems.
Day 5Fly to Kaokoland -- Serra Cafema
Fly further north into remote Kaokoland to Serra Cafema, set on the Kunene River on the Angolan border. Afternoon visit to semi-nomadic Himba communities in the Hoarusib River valley.
Day 6Serra Cafema -- Fly to Windhoek -- Departure
Final morning on the Kunene River before flying back to Windhoek for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.
