Overview
The Namibia Desert & Wildlife Safari is a 7-day safari through Sossusvlei, Damaraland & Etosha, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Victoria Falls, Cape Town, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Southern Africa covers a lot of ground, and the sequence matters. Saringi has been putting these itineraries together since 2018, and this one is built to balance game-rich safari days with the scenery and culture that make the region worth the journey. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Windhoek
Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport and transfer to your Windhoek hotel. Evening briefing on the itinerary.
Day 2Drive to Sossusvlei
Scenic drive south into the Namib Desert (approx. 5 hrs), passing through the central plateau and crossing the Tropic of Capricorn. Arrive for a late lunch and an afternoon walk at camp as the dunes glow at sunset.
Day 3Sossusvlei & Deadvlei
Sunrise at the dunes: climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy before the midday heat, then walk into Deadvlei with its ring of ancient dead camelthorn trees. Afternoon at leisure or an optional scenic flight over the dune sea.
Day 4Fly to Damaraland
Charter flight north to Damaraland for an afternoon rhino- or elephant-tracking excursion in the Palmwag Concession.
Day 5Fly to Etosha
Morning wildlife activity in Damaraland, then fly to Etosha National Park for an afternoon game drive. Etosha's vast white salt pan creates conditions for extraordinary wildlife photography.
Day 6Full Day Etosha Game Drives
A full day of game drives across Etosha's pan and waterholes, home to elephant, lion, cheetah, leopard, and Namibia's black rhino population. The eastern sector's mopane woodland shelters the rare black-faced impala, found only in Namibia.
Day 7Final Etosha Drive -- Fly to Windhoek
Final morning game drive before flying back to Windhoek for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.
