The Ultimate South Africa Safari is a 11-day safari through Sabi Sands, Madikwe Game Reserve & Cape Town, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Cape Town, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Southern Africa covers a lot of ground, and the sequence matters. Saringi has been putting these itineraries together since 2018, and this one is built to balance game-rich safari days with the scenery and culture that make the region worth the journey. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive -- Fly to Sabi Sands
Fly into Johannesburg and connect by charter to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Arrive for an afternoon game drive.
Day 2Full Day, Sabi Sands
Two game drives across Sabi Sands. Africa's highest leopard density, exceptional Big Five sightings, and unrestricted off-road access with outstanding professional guiding.
Day 3Full Day, Sabi Sands
Second full day in Sabi Sands. Optional walking safari in the morning. Night drive for leopard and nocturnal species.
Day 4Fly to Madikwe Game Reserve
Charter flight to Madikwe Game Reserve on the Botswana border. Madikwe is one of South Africa's largest game reserves and entirely malaria-free: a critical differentiator for families travelling with young children. Afternoon game drive.
Day 5Full Day, Madikwe
Two game drives in Madikwe. The reserve holds all the Big Five plus one of South Africa's healthiest wild dog populations -- regular sightings of the packs on open ground are among Madikwe's greatest wildlife highlights.
Day 6Full Day, Madikwe
Final full day at Madikwe. Child-friendly guiding available on request. Optional night drive for nocturnal species.
Day 7Fly to Cape Town
Fly via Johannesburg to Cape Town for four nights. Transfer to your hotel and an evening introduction to the Atlantic Seaboard.
Day 8Cape Town -- Cape Peninsula
Full day on the Cape Peninsula: Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach penguins, and Chapman's Peak scenic drive.
Day 9Cape Town -- Table Mountain & Waterfront
Table Mountain cable car in the morning, followed by an afternoon in the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town's gallery district.
Day 10Cape Winelands -- Stellenbosch & Franschhoek
Full day in the Cape Winelands: private wine tastings at three estates and lunch at one of Franschhoek's world-class restaurants.
Day 11Cape Town -- Depart
Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.
