The 10 Days South Africa Safari is a 10-day safari through Kruger NP · Panorama Route · Cape Town, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Kruger, Cape Town, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Southern Africa covers a lot of ground, and the sequence matters. Saringi has been putting these itineraries together since 2018, and this one is built to balance game-rich safari days with the scenery and culture that make the region worth the journey. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Johannesburg – Transfer to Kruger
Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg. Meet your Saringi representative and transfer to the greater Kruger region (approximately 4 hours drive, or optional short domestic flight). Check in to your lodge in a private concession bordering Kruger National Park. Evening welcome dinner and bush briefing.
Day 2Kruger National Park – Full Day Safaris
Early morning game drive at sunrise: the best time for predator sightings. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Midday at leisure (optional bush walk with an armed ranger). Late afternoon game drive into the golden hour. Night drive returning by spotlight after dinner. Look for leopard, elephant, lion, rhino, and buffalo: the complete Big Five.
Day 3Kruger National Park – Full Day Safaris
Another full day of game drives with your experienced Saringi bush guide. Kruger is home to over 150 mammal species and 500 bird species: every drive reveals something new. The private concessions offer exclusive sightings with fewer vehicles. Sundowner stop in the bush with drinks before returning to the lodge for dinner under the stars.
Day 4Panorama Route – Blyde River Canyon
Morning game drive, then depart for the spectacular Panorama Route. Drive through Pilgrim's Rest (a preserved gold rush town) to the famous Three Rondavels viewpoint over the Blyde River Canyon: the world's largest green canyon. Visit God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes before checking in to your lodge with canyon views.
Day 5Panorama Route – Fly to Cape Town
Morning at leisure to explore the escarpment. Transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your domestic flight to Cape Town (flight included). Arrive Cape Town mid-afternoon and transfer to your city hotel. Evening introduction to the Waterfront: oysters, sundowners, and the famous Cape Town light show over the bay.
Day 6Cape Peninsula – Cape of Good Hope
Full-day Cape Peninsula drive. Hout Bay harbour, Seal Island boat trip (optional), Chapman's Peak coastal drive, Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, and Boulders Beach penguin colony. Return via Simon's Town and the charming Kalk Bay fishing harbour for fresh fish and chips.
Day 7Table Mountain & V&A Waterfront
Morning cable car ascent of Table Mountain: weather permitting. Spend time at the summit before descending for an afternoon at the V&A Waterfront: galleries, the Two Oceans Aquarium, craft markets, and Cape Town's finest restaurants. Sunset wine tasting at a waterfront bar.
Day 8Cape Winelands – Stellenbosch & Franschhoek
Day trip into the Winelands, 45 minutes from the city. Morning in historic Stellenbosch, then lunch and wine tasting in Franschhoek at one of South Africa's most celebrated wine estates. Return to Cape Town via the Huguenot Tunnel for a relaxed evening in the city.
Day 9Cape Town – City Exploration
Explore at your own pace. Recommended: Bo-Kaap walking tour, Zeitz MOCAA contemporary art museum (Africa's largest), District Six Museum, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, or a sunset hike up Lion's Head. Evening farewell dinner at a top-rated Cape Town restaurant.
Day 10Cape Town – Departure
Morning at leisure before transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your departure flight. End of Saringi services.
