Chief's Island and Vumbura are the two bases for this week in the Okavango Delta. Fly in from Maun, spend three nights at each camp and explore with their guides. Land drives and water activities show different sides of the Delta, with boating and mokoro routes dependent on local water levels.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Maun -- Fly to Chief's Island
Fly into Maun and connect immediately by light aircraft to Chief's Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta (approx. 30 mins). Arrive at camp for a late lunch and an afternoon game drive across one of Africa's most productive wildlife areas.
Day 2Full Day, Chief's Island
A full day of game drives across Chief's Island. The area's exceptional predator density -- lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog -- makes every drive extraordinary. Vehicles can go off-road as needed for sightings, and the guiding team's skills are among the best in Africa.
Day 3Chief's Island -- Water Activities
A further day of drives plus, when water levels permit, a boat or mokoro excursion from camp into the surrounding channels. Chief's Island offers the rare combination of exceptional land game viewing and water-based exploration.
Day 4Fly to Vumbura Plains
Charter flight north to the permanent floodplains of the northern Delta for a contrasting water-based experience. Vumbura's channels offer a very different mood from Chief's Island, with motorboat game drives alongside mokoro activities.
Day 5Water & Land Activities, Vumbura
A day combining mokoro trips through the Delta's papyrus channels with game drives on the drier areas of the concession. Red lechwe, sitatunga, and hippos from the water; lion, elephant, and wild dog from the vehicle.
Day 6Full Day, Vumbura Concession
Final full day exploring the private Vumbura concession's channels and floodplains. Sunset boat cruise on the Delta's permanent water, one of Africa's most atmospheric wildlife experiences.
Day 7Fly to Maun -- Depart
Early morning activity before flying back to Maun for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.
