The Zambezi is part of the day here, whether you are looking from a vehicle, a boat or the bank. This six-day Lower Zambezi itinerary uses two camps and includes time for river activities and guided walks. Your guides choose what is suitable for the weather, water conditions and your interests.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Lower Zambezi
Fly or drive into the Lower Zambezi National Park and settle into camp with an afternoon boat safari on the Zambezi. Zimbabwe's Mana Pools escarpment is visible across the river.
Day 2Game Drive & Canoe Safari
Morning game drive through the riverine woodland. Afternoon canoe safari: paddling silently past elephants drinking, hippos surfacing, and buffalo wallowing at the river's edge.
Day 3Walking Safari
Guided walking safari through the riverine forest and onto the woodland beyond, tracking game on foot with an armed scout and professional guide. The river creates a natural boundary that concentrates game.
Day 4Transfer to Sausage Tree Camp
Relocate to a different stretch of the river for variety in scenery and wildlife. Sausage Tree Camp's isolated position in a remote section of the park ensures a different game-viewing perspective.
Day 5Full Day -- River Activities
Full day of activities at your choice: tiger fishing with a specialist guide, a further canoe trip, a game drive, or a boat safari at sunset. The Zambezi's tigerfish are regarded as one of Africa's most exciting freshwater quarry.
Day 6Final Morning Activity -- Fly Out
Final morning activity before transfer to the airstrip for onward or international connections. End of Saringi Tours services.

Your route covers Lower Zambezi National Park. The arrival arrangements on Day 1 and the final-day transfer form part of this itinerary; share your flight times with us before booking so we can check the connections.
