Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Nairobi
Our driver and representative meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to Hemingways Nairobi: one of the city's finest boutique hotels. Settle in, enjoy a welcome dinner, and rest ahead of your safari.
Day 2Nairobi – Amboseli (Flight, 45 min)
Transfer to Wilson Airport at 6 a.m. for a morning flight to Amboseli. On arrival, our driver meets you for a game-drive transfer to Angama Amboseli: a dramatic hilltop camp with sweeping views over the park and, on clear days, the full snowcapped cone of Kilimanjaro. Settle in, enjoy lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive at 3–4 p.m.
Day 3Amboseli – Full Day
After breakfast, head out with picnic lunches for a full day of unlimited game drives in the park. Amboseli is Africa's best elephant-watching destination: the herds are well-studied and move freely through the open swamps beneath Kilimanjaro. Climb the Observation Hill for panoramic views across the park. Alternatively, split the day into morning and afternoon game drives. Optional: hot air balloon ride at dawn or a Maasai village cultural visit.
Day 4Amboseli – Flight to Maasai Mara (via Nairobi)
Early morning game drive, then transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Mara via Nairobi. Arrive at the Mara airstrip by mid-morning and transfer to Angama Mara: perched on the Oloololo Escarpment with uninterrupted views over the reserve below. Lunch at camp, then an afternoon game drive from 3–6 p.m. into the Mara Triangle.
Day 5Maasai Mara – Full Day
Full day in the Mara with Angama's specialist naturalists: some of the most respected guides in East Africa. Morning big cat tracking across the open plains, picnic lunch by the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles hold court, afternoon focus on the great wildebeest herds and predator interactions. Optional: sundowner on the escarpment or a bush breakfast at dawn.
Day 6Maasai Mara – Full Day
Another extraordinary day in the Mara. Choose a full day of game drives or alternate morning and afternoon drives with time at the camp enjoying its world-class facilities. Optional guided nature walks on the Oloololo Escarpment or a hot air balloon flight at sunrise ($480/person) for a bird's-eye view of the Mara plains.
Day 7Maasai Mara – Flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, pack up and check out. Transfer to the Mara airstrip for your 11:15 a.m. departure, arriving in Nairobi at 12:15 p.m. Lunch on arrival, then drop-off at your hotel or JKIA. End of Saringi services: we hope to see you on your next adventure.
