Overview
The 7 Days of Maasai Mara Safari and Diani Beach is a 7-day safari through Maasai Mara & Diani Beach, Kenya, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Maasai Mara, Diani, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Bush and beach is one of East Africa's most satisfying combinations, and this 7-day itinerary gets the balance right: proper wildlife days in prime game country, then a coastal or island stay to wind down. Transfers, accommodation, and logistics are all managed by the Saringi team in Nairobi. Dates, lodge category, and duration can be adjusted to suit your schedule.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi – Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi early and drive or fly to the Maasai Mara. Arrive for lunch and head straight out for an afternoon game drive. The Mara's vast grasslands are immediately impressive: wildebeest and zebra herds stretch to the horizon, and big cats are active in the early evening light.
Day 2Maasai Mara – Full Day
Full day of game drives in the Mara. Morning predator tracking: lion, cheetah, and leopard are all regularly sighted. Picnic lunch by the Mara River as hippos and crocodiles lounge in the shallows. Afternoon drive following the vast wildebeest herds and their wildebeest calves. Optional hot air balloon safari at dawn ($480/person).
Day 3Maasai Mara – Full Day
Another superb game drive day in the reserve. Visit the Mara Triangle on the western bank: home to the highest lion densities in Africa and spectacular predator–prey interactions. Afternoon drive tracking elephant family groups. Optional Maasai village visit in the evening: meet the local warriors and learn about traditional culture.
Day 4Maasai Mara – Flight to Mombasa – Diani Beach
Final sunrise game drive in the Mara. Transfer to the airstrip for a direct flight from the Mara to Mombasa (approx. 1.5 hrs). Cross the Likoni Ferry south to Diani Beach. Check in to your beachfront resort, change, and feel the warm Indian Ocean sand beneath your feet. Sundowner on the beach.
Day 5Diani Beach – At Leisure
A full, gloriously free day on the beach. Swim in the warm turquoise water, snorkel above the coral reef that stretches the length of Diani, hire a kayak, or simply lie in the shade of a coconut palm. Optional sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
Day 6Diani Beach – Kisite-Mpunguti or Mombasa
Full-day boat trip to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park: snorkelling the pristine coral gardens and swimming with dolphins in the warm blue water. Or opt for a half-day excursion to Mombasa Old Town: UNESCO Fort Jesus, the Arab Quarter, and the spice market. Evening farewell dinner at a beachside restaurant.
Day 7Diani Beach – Departure
Morning at leisure: final swim or walk along the beach. Transfer to Moi International Airport, Mombasa, for your departure. End of services.
