The 5 Days Salt Lick & Amboseli Safari is a 5-day safari through Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary & Amboseli National Park, Kenya, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Amboseli, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Bush and beach is one of East Africa's most satisfying combinations, and this 5-day itinerary gets the balance right: proper wildlife days in prime game country, then a coastal or island stay to wind down. Transfers, accommodation, and logistics are all managed by the Saringi team in Nairobi. Dates, lodge category, and duration can be adjusted to suit your schedule.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Malindi / Mombasa – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (approx. 6 hrs)
Early departure from Malindi or Mombasa with your guide and driver along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway. Arrive at the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in time for lunch at Taita Hills Safari Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the sanctuary as you head to Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Dinner and overnight at this extraordinary lodge where the wildlife comes to you: elephants and buffalo gather beneath the stilted rondavels each evening.
Day 2Salt Lick – Transfer to Amboseli National Park (approx. 3 hrs)
After a memorable breakfast watching the waterhole from your terrace, enjoy a morning game drive through the Taita Hills before driving east to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon brings your first game drive in Amboseli's open plains beneath the southern face of Kilimanjaro: the mountain fills the entire northern skyline. Lions rest in the swamp-edge thickets, cheetahs patrol the open plains, and elephant matriarchs lead their families to water.
Day 3Amboseli – Full Day
A full day in Amboseli with unlimited game drives. Rise at dawn for the finest Kilimanjaro view: the mountain glows pink above the morning mist, surrounded by silhouetted elephants in the Enkongo Narok swamp. Walk to the Observation Hill for a complete panorama of the park. Afternoon drive through the Kimana swamp where hippos, hundreds of elephants and large buffalo herds crowd the waterways.
Day 4Amboseli – Full Day
Another full day exploring Amboseli's open grasslands and swamp ecosystems. Optional hot-air balloon flight at sunrise followed by a champagne bush breakfast on the plains. Optional Maasai village cultural visit in the afternoon. The park's resident cheetahs are frequently seen coursing across the short-grass plains.
Day 5Amboseli – Optional Game Drive – Flight to Nairobi (Departure)
An optional early morning game drive for final Kilimanjaro photographs and last wildlife sightings before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Transfer to the Amboseli airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. End of services.
