Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi – Mombasa – Diani Beach
Fly from Nairobi to Mombasa (1 hr) and transfer south across the Likoni Ferry to the stunning Diani Beach. Check in to your beachfront resort, change into your swimwear, and feel the warm Indian Ocean sand beneath your feet. Afternoon at leisure on the beach. Sunset cocktails with the ocean breeze.
Day 2Diani Beach – Full Day at Leisure
A full day to settle into beach life. Swim in the turquoise waters, snorkel from the beach over the reef, or hire a kayak and paddle out to the sand bar. The beach shelves gently and the Indian Ocean is warm year-round. The resort's infinity pool, spa, and beachside bar are all yours. Optional sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
Day 3Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park – Dolphin Excursion
Full-day boat trip south to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park: one of Kenya's finest marine reserves. Snorkel among pristine coral gardens alive with tropical fish, octopus, and sea turtles. The highlight is a dolphin swimming excursion: pods of bottlenose and spinner dolphins are resident here and often swim alongside the boats. Lunch on Wasini Island before returning to Diani in the afternoon.
Day 4Old Town Mombasa & Shimba Hills
Morning half-day excursion to Mombasa's UNESCO-listed Old Town: Fort Jesus, the Arab-influenced old port, and the vibrant spice market tell the story of 2,000 years of Swahili trade culture. Afternoon: optional visit to Shimba Hills National Reserve (45 min from Diani) for rare sable antelope, elephant, and the verdant coastal forest canopy. Return for a final beach sunset dinner.
Day 5Diani Beach – Mombasa – Departure
Morning at leisure for a final swim or walk along the beach. Check out after breakfast and transfer to Mombasa Airport (Moi International) for your departure flight to Nairobi or your international flight home. End of services.
