Overview
The 16 Days of Kenya Safari is a 16-day safari through Samburu, Laikipia, Nakuru, Naivasha, Maasai Mara & Amboseli, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu and 2 more protected areas, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Saringi Tours is a women-led safari company based in Nairobi, and every itinerary is private and bespoke. Dates, group size, accommodation tier, and optional activities such as a hot air balloon, guided bush walks, or cultural visits can all be adjusted to fit your preferences and budget. Our team is available before, during, and after your trip to make sure everything runs as it should.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Drive north to Samburu (approx. 4.5 hrs). Arrive for lunch and first afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Day 2Samburu – Full Day
Full day with morning and afternoon drives in Samburu. Samburu Special Five, leopard in the riverine trees, and outstanding birdlife along the Ewaso Nyiro.
Day 3Samburu – Full Day
Another full day in Samburu: explore different areas of the reserve and conservancy. Night drive after dinner.
Day 4Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Drive south to Ol Pejeta (approx. 2.5 hrs). Afternoon game drive: black and white rhino, cheetah coalitions, and the last two northern white rhinos on Earth.
Day 5Ol Pejeta – Full Day
Full day at Ol Pejeta. Morning: northern white rhino encounter and chimp sanctuary visit. Afternoon: cheetah, lion, wild dog, and black rhino game drives.
Day 6Ol Pejeta – Lake Bogoria
Drive to Lake Bogoria National Reserve (approx. 2 hrs). Afternoon walk along the hot spring geysers and lake shore: flamingos and greater kudu.
Day 7Lake Bogoria – Lake Nakuru
Morning at Lake Bogoria, then drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park (approx. 1.5 hrs). Afternoon game drive: both rhino species, flamingos, and Rothschild giraffe.
Day 8Lake Nakuru – Full Day
Full day in Nakuru. Morning drives along the lake shore for rhino, lion, and flamingo. Afternoon: leopard in the yellow-bark acacia forest. Baboon Cliff sunset.
Day 9Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
Drive to Lake Naivasha (approx. 1.5 hrs). Afternoon hippo boat safari on the freshwater lake and bird watching.
Day 10Lake Naivasha – Full Day
Cycle through Hell's Gate National Park among giraffe, zebra, and buffalo. Afternoon Crescent Island walking safari and sunset boat cruise.
Day 11Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
Drive from Naivasha to the Maasai Mara (approx. 3.5 hrs), stopping at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint. Arrive for lunch and first afternoon game drive.
Day 12Maasai Mara – Full Day
Full day of game drives: morning predator tracking, river crossing site at midday (July–October), afternoon following the herds. Optional hot air balloon.
Day 13Maasai Mara – Full Day
Visit the Mara Triangle for lion prides and river crossings. Afternoon guided walk with a Maasai ranger through the conservancy.
Day 14Maasai Mara – Amboseli
Morning game drive in the Mara. Drive south and east to Amboseli (approx. 5 hrs). Arrive for a late afternoon drive beneath Kilimanjaro.
Day 15Amboseli – Full Day
Final full day in Kenya's wildlife circuit. Dawn drives for cloud-free Kilimanjaro views and elephant herds at the swamp edges: a spectacular finale to the safari. Afternoon lion tracking and Observation Hill panoramic views.
Day 16Amboseli – Nairobi – Departure
Morning game drive in Amboseli: a final farewell to Kilimanjaro and the great elephant herds. Drive to Nairobi or fly (approx. 4 hrs driving / 45 min flight). Transfer to the airport for your international departure. End of Saringi services.
