Our guide meets you at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA on arrival. Drive directly south through the Rift Valley escarpment, making scenic stops, to arrive at the Mara by lunchtime. Check in and have lunch. Afternoon game drive from 3 to 6 p.m. through open grasslands teeming with wildlife.

Full-day game drives in the Mara Reserve. Track the Big Five and witness the drama of predator and prey on Africa's finest wildlife stage. Picnic lunch by the Mara River. Possible Great Migration river crossing in season (July–October). Optional: hot air balloon at dawn.

Early morning game drive before breakfast. Check out and drive northeast, climbing back up the Rift Valley wall, to arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride on the lake to Crescent Island for a guided walk among giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and hundreds of water birds: with no predators on the island.

After breakfast, check out and drive south through the Great Rift Valley floor toward Amboseli. The journey winds through Maasai pastoralist country with stunning views of the Southern Rift. Arrive at Amboseli with a short game drive en route to your lodge. Check in, have lunch and rest. Afternoon game drive in the park.

Head out after breakfast with picnic lunch boxes for a full day in Amboseli National Park. Explore the park's open plains, swamps and acacia woodlands with unlimited game drives. Climb the observation hill for sweeping views and, if Kilimanjaro is clear of cloud, an unforgettable photograph. The park is famous for large elephant herds: over 1,600 elephants call Amboseli home.

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park, arriving by mid-morning for an immediate game drive en route to the lodge. After lunch, visit Mzima Springs: a clear-water oasis fed by underground streams from Kilimanjaro where hippos and crocodiles can be viewed from underwater observation chamber. Also visit the Shetani lava flows and enjoy views of the Chyulu Hills.

Early morning game drive in Tsavo West before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Check out and drive to Mombasa, arriving mid-morning. Our driver transfers you directly to your beach resort on the coast. Check in and spend the afternoon unwinding on the Indian Ocean shoreline.

A completely free day at the coast. Swim in the warm Indian Ocean, relax on white sand beaches, and explore the hotel facilities. Optional activities at extra cost: dolphin excursion at Wasini Island ($80/person), PADI scuba diving, snorkelling on the reef, boat rides and windsurfing.

Another day of leisure on the Kenya coast. Consider a dhow cruise at sunset, or explore Old Mombasa Town's Swahili architecture and spice markets. The reef snorkelling at Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park is world-class.

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your beach hotel. Transfer to Moi International Airport (Mombasa) or, if flying from Nairobi, drive / fly to JKIA for your onward flight.
