Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive south toward the Tanzania border (approx. 4 hours), with the cone of Kilimanjaro growing larger as you approach. Arrive Amboseli in time for lunch and your first afternoon game drive. The swamps at the base of Kilimanjaro attract massive elephant herds: the park's famous matriarchs lead family groups of 20–50 animals across the open plains in the late afternoon light.
Day 2Amboseli – Full Day
A full day of game drives from dawn to dusk in one of Africa's most photogenic parks. Morning drives catch Kilimanjaro in cloud-free conditions and the light on the vast swamps is extraordinary: elephants, hippos, and yellow-billed storks wading through the papyrus. Afternoon drives focus on the predators: Amboseli's lions are well habituated and often found resting in open areas. Optional visit to Observation Hill for panoramic views of the entire park.
Day 3Amboseli – Morning Drive – Nairobi
Rise before dawn for a final game drive: the mountain is often clearest at first light and the elephants gather at the swamp edges. Breakfast back at camp, then check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving by early afternoon. End of services.
