This 7-day Kenya adventure combines wildlife adventure safaris with a relaxing beach retreat in Diani at the Kenyan Coast. Start with Maasai Mara, where you’ll enjoy game drives in search of the Big Five and other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and elephants. Drink in the stunning landscapes and enjoy a picnic by the Mara River. Optional activities like hot air balloon safaris and Maasai village visits add a cultural touch.

Then, transfer to the white sandy Diani Beach for the ultimate beach getaway. Relax by the ocean or engage in activities like snorkeling, dolphin excursions, or boat rides. Stay in luxurious accommodations throughout, from game lodges in the Mara to beautiful, beach resorts in Diani.

End the trip with a flight back to Nairobi, making this a perfect blend of wildlife exploration and beach leisure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)

You will be picked up by our tour guide/driver on arrival at the airport. Depart for Maasai Mara immediately to arrive in time for lunch. Later have a game drive from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara or Prideinn Mara Camp/ Ashnil Mara Camp or Savova Mara Game Camp or Mara Serena Safari Lodge/ Entim Mara or Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend the two days on extensive game drives in the Mara Reserve. If you’re looking to see Big Cats, the Masai Mara National Reserve is an excellent place to spot them. Be on the lookout for lions, cheetahs, the big five, and other wildlife that dominate the grasslands. Picnic lunch by the banks of Mara River.
Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives

Optional activities: Hot air balloon, Maasai Village visit & guided nature walks

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Diani – flight

Have another early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Have breakfast then be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Nairobi departing at 11 a.m. You will connect with a 2 p.m. flight to Diani. Upon arrival in Diani, a driver is on standby to transfer you to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day in leisure to wash off the safari, and usher in your beach vacation.

Overnight: Baobab Beach Resort & Spa/ Swahili Beach Resort / Sands at Nomad / The Maji Boutique Hotel

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 5 &6: Diani Beach

Spend the two days in your own leisure activities, inclusive of hotel festive activities such as evening dances.

Optional activities (at extra costs): Dolphin Excursion at Wasini Island ($80pp) / PADI Scuba Diving/ Snorkeling/ Boat rides/Windsurfing etc.

Overnight: Baobab Beach Resort & Spa/ Swahili Beach Resort / Sands at Nomad / The Maji Boutique Hotel

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 7: Diani- Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 45mins)

After an early lunch, our driver will meet you at the lobby for your transfer to Ukunda Airstrip, for your scheduled flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Transfer to JKIA for your outbound flight. You can also opt to have lunch in Nairobi before dropping off at the airport.
