Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi, Wilson Airport- Transfer to Tsavo West, by Air

Pick up from your hotel, and transfer to Wilson Airport for your early morning flight to Finch Hattons Airstip in Tsavo West National Park. The camp guide will meet and welcome you at the Airstrip. Start your game drive as you head to the camp for check-in and dinner. Finch Hattons offers an unrivaled luxury safari experience in the heart of Tsavo West National Park, Kenya’s largest national park.

Day 2 & 3: Tsavo West National Park

Spend these two days exploring Tsavo West National Park on an open-sided Landcruiser. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal-clear water gushing out of the under-parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephants, rhinos, Hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant, and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Return to camp for meals and relaxation.

Day 4: Finch Hattons- Transfer to Maasai Mara, via Wilson by air

After breakfast, gather your time to gather your items and check out. The camp driver will transfer you to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport, where you will connect with another scheduled mid-morning flight to Mara North Conservancy. Upon landing, the camp’s driver and guide will be waiting to receive you and take you to the famous Sir Richard Branson’s safari camp- Mahali Mzuri. The camp is perched on the side of a lush valley with views over the rolling plains.

Begin your safari adventure with a game drive in our open-sided 4 x 4 land cruiser. Explore the wildlife-rich Mara North Conservancy, a conservancy formed to protect the pristine wildlife area and safeguard the Mara ecosystem while providing a source of livelihood for the Maasai people. A hot towel and champagne welcome at the camp, followed by check-in and lunch. At 4:00 pm meet your Masai guide for an afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 & 6: Olare Motorogi Conservancy

Olare Motorogi Conservancy offers an incomparable wildlife viewing experience in an uncrowded wilderness. With an astounding volume and variety of wildlife, the Conservancy offers some of East Africa’s finest, year-round wildlife viewing. The area boasts one of the highest concentrations of big cats in Africa and over 300 bird species, including 50 different species of raptors. Game viewing starts at your doorstep. Begin your day with an early morning game drive, giving you great opportunities to see the wildlife during the gorgeous morning light. Return to camp for breakfast, and a mid-morning relaxation. After lunch, embark on an evening game drive. Wind up the evening with a sundowner. Extend your evening safari adventure into the twilight to spot the fascinating nocturnal creatures. Head back to camp for dinner followed by relaxation at the campfire as you let the lull of the savannah soothe you.

Day 7: Mahali Mzuri – Transfer Nairobi – by air

Wake up for a final morning game drive. Return to camp for breakfast. The Camp driver will be on standby to transfer you to the airstrip for your mid-morning flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival, our driver and representative will meet you and take you to your preferred city restaurant for lunch. Later you will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for an outbound flight to your next destination.
