Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi- Transfer to Amboseli (Approx. 4 hours)

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or airport and drive to Amboseli national park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arriving with a short game drive en- route book camp or lodge, check in, have lunch, and a short rest. Later have an afternoon game drive at the park.

Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge or Ol Tukai Lodge/ Kibo Safari Camp/ Tawi Lodge

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Amboseli – Full Day

After breakfast, head out with picnic lunch boxes for a full day in the park. Explore Amboseli with unlimited game drives, watch the animals from the observation hill, and if lucky, you may see Mount Kilimanjaro reveal itself, make sure to take a photo.

Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge or Ol Tukai Lodge/ Tawi Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 6 hours)

After an early breakfast, depart Amboseli for Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch and check in at booked camp or lodge. In the afternoon, have a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and sail to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk. Return to shore for dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge/ Enashipai Resort / Chui Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Transfer Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)

After Breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha for Maasai Mara to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have a short rest before heading out for an evening game drive from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Return to camp/lodge for overnight and dinner.

Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara Camp or Prideinn Mara Camp/ Sarova Mara Game Camp or Ashnil Mara or Mara Serena Safari Lodge/ Mara Bush Camp- Private Wing/ Angama Mara

Day 5 & 6: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend these two days on either morning and evening game drives, or have breakfast, leave the camp with a picnic lunch, and spend the entire day in the reserve with unlimited game drives. If you’re looking to see Big Cats, the Masai Mara National Reserve is an excellent place to spot them. The Mara has been called the Kingdom of Lions and these powerful hunters dominate these grasslands. Cheetahs are also a common sight in the Mara, as are hyenas and smaller predators such as jackals. Picnic lunch by the banks of Mara River. Head back to camp for dinner followed by relaxation as you let the lull of the savannah soothe you.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 5 hours)

Have an early-morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, depart for Nairobi with a stop for lunch en route, or have lunch in a city restaurant. You will be dropped off at the airport for your outbound flight or at your Nairobi stay.
