Summary
Ideal as a weekend getaway, or as a safari to punctuate a longer journey through Kenya, this safari takes in some beautiful lakes. With the abundance of water in these park areas, the trip is an ornithologist’s delight, with hundreds of rare bird species residing in both Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha.
Sitting in the heart of the Great African Rift Valley, the lakes are part of a great geological story and home to many of the animals you’d associate with the best of African safari. Along with seemingly endless lists of avian species to keep you engaged in your Kenyan safari.
Your safari is a private tour and only you and your party will be guided by your African safari guide. The customized 4 x 4 safari vehicle you travel in will only be used by you. With the tour dedicated to your comfort and pleasure, we will also give you the option of taking a boat trip to Crescent Island, with an extra fee of $30.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Nakuru (Approximately 3 hours)
You will be picked by our driver/guide from the airport on arrival or from your hotel in Nairobi and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru arriving to arrive by mid-morning. Have a short game drive en route to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for lunch. Another game drive is at 4 p.m. Look out for flamingos, rhinos, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, and much more.
Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha (Approx. 2 hours)
Rise up for a pre-breakfast game drive and return to the Lodge for breakfast. Depart Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 2 hours)
After breakfast, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and have a guided nature walk at Crescent Island. Sail back to shore and check out. Drive to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon. Lunch will be at a city restaurant before dropping off at the hotel or airport for your outbound flight.
