Safari Overview

Experience adventure and relaxation on this 11-day Kenya safari, exploring the country’s top destinations. Begin your journey at the Maasai Mara, famous for its abundant wildlife and breathtaking savannahs and landscapes. Enjoy game drives as you search for the Big Five, other wildlife, and the beautiful landscapes that make this reserve world-famous.

Next, visit Lake Nakuru National Park, home to vibrant birdlife, flamingos, and a sanctuary for endangered rhinos. Continue to the peaceful Lake Naivasha, where serene boat rides offer close encounters with hippos and a variety of waterbirds, along with optional guided walks at Crescent Island.

Proceed to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Conclude your adventure with a relaxing retreat at Diani Beach. Here, unwind on the white sandy beaches, explore the warm blue waters through snorkeling or diving, and soak in the serenity of Kenya’s coast.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi- Transfer to Masai Mara (Approx. 5 Hours)

You will be picked up by our tour guide/driver on arrival at JKIA. Depart for Mara immediately to arrive in time for lunch. Later have a game drive from 3 p.m. till 6 p.m. Note – You will have 2-3 stopovers on this day

Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/ Sarova Mara or Ashnil Mara/ Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2& 3: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend these 2 days with extensive full-day game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. There will be a picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River. Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives Optional activities: Hot air balloon & guided nature walks

Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/ Sarova Mara or Ashnil Mara/ Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Masai Mara – Transfer to Lake Nakuru (Approx. 5 hours)

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru. Check in at the lodge and have lunch. Later, afternoon game drive to see a variety of wildlife including the endangered white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Other animals to see include lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe and a good number of birds.

Overnight: Sarova Woodlands/ Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 2 hours)

Have breakfast then head out to Lake Naivasha with a game drive as you depart. Afternoon is spent with a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island and a guided nature walk.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Naivasha Resort

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Amboseli (Approx. 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, depart Naivasha for Amboseli National Park. You will have lunch en route. Once you arrive at the park, you will enjoy a game drive. Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, gazelles, wild dogs and the magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge / Ol Tukai Logde

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7: Amboseli – Full Day

Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives with stay in the lodge in between.

Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge/ Ol Tukai Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8: Amboseli – Transfer to Diani (Approx. 4 hours)

Have breakfast then depart for a final game drive as you leave the park for Diani. You will have lunch en route and be dropped off at the hotel to end the safari and start your beach stay.

Overnight: Baobab Beach Resort or Southern Palms Beach Resort/Swahili Beach/Afrochic

Meals: All Inclusive/Half Board

Day 9 &10: Diani Beach

Spend the days in your own leisure and beach activities. Optional activity: Private Dolphin excursion to Wasini Island ($100 per adult)

Overnight: Baobab Beach Resort or Southern Palms Beach resort/Swahili Beach/Afrochic

Meals: All Inclusive/Half Board

Day 11: Diani to Nairobi for Departure

After an early lunch, our driver will meet you at the lobby for your transfer to Ukunda Airstrip, for your scheduled flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Transfer to JKIA for your outbound flight.
